Client:
Lawrence County, Ohio
Duke Energy North America
Location:Lawrence County, Ohio
Fluor provided engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services for this net 1,240 MW combustion turbine combined-cycle merchant power project located in Lawrence County, Ohio.
Major equipment included four General Electric model PG7241 FA combustion turbine generators (155 MW each), four heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and one General Electric condensing steam turbine generator (190 MW). Dry low NOx combustors were used in this facility for turbine exhaust emission control. The facility also used evaporative coolers for inlet air cooling and duct firing in the HRSGs for power augmentation.
The Hanging Rock Energy facility began commercial operation in early 2000s.
