Fluor provided turnkey engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services for a net 864 MW gas-fired combined-cycle facility in Waterford, Ohio.
The PSEG Waterford Energy Facility was designed as a merchant plant to be dispatched to the American Electric Power grid. Major equipment included three General Electric model PG7241 FA combustion turbine generators, equipped with inlet air evaporation coolers; three pressure level heat recovery steam generators with intermediate pressure reheat and supplemental duct firing; and one General Electric model D11 condensing reheat steam turbine generator with low-pressure admission. The project was constructed and completed in two phases.
